"Revert to version on disc (and lose your changes)?" Dialogue won't close

Reported by agmcleod | May 17th, 2010 @ 02:15 PM

Here's the story on this one:

I have an html file open. Since some javascript is causing me grief on rendering the page in IE, i copied the script tags. I used CTRL+N to create a new file, and i pasted the code into that tab. I saved the file as a txt document. When I clicked save, the dialogue closed. Immediately afterwords I received the title/subject dialogue. Whether I hit yes or no, the dialogue closes, and reopens a bit further down and to the right. I just opened the terminal that is running from the win batch, and used ctrl+C to terminate it.

It's strange though, I tried doing it again, and I am not running into the problem.

This seems to happen when you open a file, do some changes, do not save and either switch to another program, or another tab inside redcar. When switching back to the file in question, the dialog comes up. It will close after 10x. In the 0.6.1dev it seems to only occur on windows xp. I havent had the issue on windows 7 or mac os x.

    Tim,

As i stated before, i can only seem to produce the bug on windows xp. It doesn't seem to happen on any other operating systems that i use.

    1) Open a file in redcar
    2) Make some changes to the file
    3) Don't save
    4) minimize the redcar window
    5) open it back up.
    6) Dialog window: "Revert to version on disc (and lose your changes)?" comes up. Pressing cancel will cause another window of the same kind to open. This happens recursively for 10 times.

    • Tag changed from needs info to save

I am able to reproduce this with 0.9 on XP and windows 7.

open a file, make changes, don't save, go to a command line, "touch" that file, then go back to Redcar. The "10x repeat" dialog appears...
