if it is not on a "tag" it results in this (non fatal backtrace):

- State changed from “new” to “invalid”
This should be fixed already in master. See https://redcar.lighthouseapp.com/projects/25090/tickets/414-backtra.... Hey, I just realized you made both tickets. You win the bug reporter award! :)
