F5 to execute a file

Reported by ippa | May 17th, 2010 @ 11:14 PM

I'm developing a lot of games in ruby. I currently use SCiTE but redcar looked nice, especially with the directory view and so on. One major thing is missing for me though: run the current file (or a selected file) with F5. Getting the output somewhere would also be useful.

If you look in Plugins / Execute there are some commands for running the current file as a Ruby script and putting the output in a new tab.

It would be good to generalise this to other languages, but it's a start.

    Thanks!
