%> not overwriting

When I open a <% tag it automatically creates %> but when I am done writing the line and type %> it doesn't overwrite the existing tag that was already created. I made a video of this and you can see it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZo1w9lPtK0 the quality sucks but you can see what I mean.
I am running the latest source version but it does it in 3.5 also on Ubuntu Linux
