Cannot delete files from Tree View

Reported by Andrew Myers | November 25th, 2010 @ 02:45 AM

About: Redcar
Version: 0.8.1
Ruby Version: 1.8.7
Jruby version: 1.5.5
Redcar.environment: user

My OS is Windows 7 Professional (32bit)

To reproduce.

  1. Select File->Open and browse to a directory
  2. Create a new file.
  3. Right click the file and select delete.
  4. Say yes to the confirmation message.

The file does not get deleted from either the tree view or the system. I am able to remove this via windows explorer so I do not believe this is an issue with file permissions.

    • State changed from “new” to “open”
    • Assigned user set to “tim.felgentreff (at student.hpi.uni-potsdam)”

This might be related to the way we try to trash files on Windows. Is there anything unusual in the console output of redcar?
