search replaces on "enter"
Reported by Roger | January 24th, 2011 @ 07:24 AM
Currently if you do "find" then type in a query (it highlights
the first instance)
you'd expect that hitting enter would "choose" that highlighted
instance, and exit
the search bar.
Instead it actually replaces that instance and goes to the next,
which I don't think is expected.
Cheers!

It appears to also "leave" all instances of a query highlighted.
So if you search for something, then hit escape, then hit "a" (ex: replace current instance with the letter a), it ends up deleting all instances of the query everywhere, accidentally. -

Could you give a list of exact commands and characters typed? And your platform? I'm unable to duplicate (on Ubuntu, at least).

Can't reproduce on OS X. I'll do my best to remember to try windows later today.

Isn't this a duplicate of: https://redcar.lighthouseapp.com/projects/25090/tickets/462-search-...
I'm certain its fixed already in master.
