Connection Manager Fails with SFTP

Observed with 0.12.17dev (9ce2ca66f1), connecting to an Ubuntu 11.04 server.
Error message box text with Redcar on Ubuntu 11.04:
Error connecting: Permission denied - /home/remote-me/.redcar
Error message box text with Redcar on OS X Snow Leopard:
Error connecting: Unknown error - Unknown error (20000) - /home/me
I can successfully connect using the SSH command-line client.
I've attached the stack trace as a text file.
To reproduce:
- Add a connection in Connection Manager with the SFTP protocol.
- Click on the new item in the connection list.
This error occurs whether or not the correct RSA SSH key is active in SSH agent.
