Crash when changing syntax highlighting mode to 'PHP'
Reported by cosmix | March 23rd, 2009 @ 05:59 PM | in 0.3
When I open a specific php file for editing I initially get:
(eval): line 3
(null)-CRITICAL **:string_substring: assertion `(offset + len) <= string_length' failed
The type is (erroneously) set to HTML. When I try to change this to PHP, redcar crashes with:
Gtk-ERROR **: Byte index 29 is off the end of the line
aborting...
Aborted
This is always reproducible. This is on Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid) x86-64.

- Tag changed from crash, highlighting, syntax to gtkmateview
- State changed from new to open
Thankyou for the report. I would be able to fix this quickly if you could isolate the portion of the PHP file that triggers the crash. It is likely to be a single line of the file.
thanks again, Dan
