Cursor location after pasting multibyte characters

Pasting in multibyte characters repositions the cursor past where it should be.
foo[cursor]bar
paste in '가'
foo가ba[cursor]r
I've confirmed this behavior on redcar 0.13 on OSX 10.8, Windows 7, and Ubuntu 12.04. (All with ruby 1.9.3)
