'redcar .' not working (on Jaunty?)
Reported by marzapower | April 20th, 2009 @ 09:19 AM
I am still using Jaunty, etc etc ...
Now, supposing I untarred the application into /home/marzapower/redcar, if I call:
'/home/marzapower/redcar/bin/redcar .' the editor starts opening a new project using the current directory.
But, if I call:
'redcar .' the editor starts opening no projects nor files.
Looking up into /usr/bin/redcar, I found a call to:
'/home/marzapower/redcar/bin/redcar --multiple-instance'
Could this be the problem?
Thank you again and, btw, great job!

I tried changing the /usr/bin/redcar executable from
'/home/marzapower/redcar/bin/redcar --multiple-instance'
to
'/home/marzapower/redcar/bin/redcar'
but the bug still lives ('redcar .' will not open a project).
Calling '/home/marzapower/redcar/bin/redcar .' directly correctly works.

I think you must have created /usr/bin/redcar yourself.... because I can't remember making that.

Well, I can't recall, buy you could be right ...
Btw, what about that strange behavior?

Don't know what that could be I'm afraid. When we package Redcar it will have a bin script. Until then I think this is more likely to be a problem with your shell script.
