Feature: parenthesis and quotes should encompass selected text

When I select some text, then type '(', from Textmate I get:
(selected_text)
whereas from redcar I get
()
This could be a really powerful implementation into redcar!

This was working in Gtk redcar, but we haven't ported it to JRuby yet. In the meantime it's on here: http://wiki.github.com/danlucraft/redcar/wishlist
