Highlighting sometimes fails

Reported by stevenheidel | October 13th, 2010 @ 07:22 AM

I don't know how to describe this problem any better, but it happens all the time.

After you've been editing a file for a while, the highlighting just fails. It usually highlights everything the same, and doesn't update.

The only way around it is to close and reopen the file in which case it works perfectly for a while. This is really annoying, but I don't know why it's happening. It happens with all the themes I've tried, and different types of files (rb, java, cpp, etc.) as well.

Anyways:

I have the same problem sometimes. I haven't been able to reliably reproduce it, and haven't really spent a lot of time looking into what might be causing it. I can usually get highlighting back just by saving the file I'm working on (no need to close and re-open it, at least not when it happens here).

    Definitely annoying.

I know I have to go back into the guts of the highlighter soon.
