redcar appears to keep file handles open

I get this sometimes when dealing with files that I (have open or have had open recently in redcar)
C:\dev\ruby\sensible-cinema\spec>rm bad.rb
rm: cannot remove bad.rb': Device or resource busy
"saving it" appears to be enough to recreate.

oddly, I can't seem to reproduce this anymore. Not sure what the difference is/was.
