Toolbar icon lower half not shown

OS: Ubuntu 10.10 netbook 32 bits

I've installed redcar 0.9.1 using rubygems and every time I open it the toolbar icons don't show properly. The lower part of each icon is blank and shows up if I hover on it with my mouse cursor. The attached image shows the problem

I've noticed this too on Ubuntu 10.10, though only with certain themes. Eclipse seems to do this too, so maybe its a SWT thing? Maybe someone has some insight on this.

Is it just a display glitch? ie, is the entire button clickable still?
