ERB indentation issue

I just came across this weird behavior of Edit -> Formatting -> Increase/Decrease Indent. I was able to reproduce it for this form (generated by devise)

First is after selectin all the text (ctrl + shift + a) and
indenting one to the right (ctrl + ])
Second is after indenting one to the right (ctrl + ]) and one to
the left (ctrl + [)
Third is the original unchanged file

I came across the same behavior while editing a Django template. After some testing it's occurring with every file type. The indent/outdent is a bit "wonky" and I don't think it specifically pertains to one type of file or another.
