Unable to connect with remote host using sftp/ftp using different port than default

It seems that remote connection is not considering the given port number at the time of connecting to remote host. I have tried to connect with remote host which allows me ssh connection with port no "8022" only.

I have double check with another host which is allows me to ssh connection using port no "22". When I have tried to connect with host with "8022" even though it is allowed me to connect with remote host(when I have tried ssh user@host -p 8022 its not able to connect with server).
