Tab key to indent code selections
Reported by Pockata | April 20th, 2011 @ 09:48 PM
This is something i really miss from other text editors.
E.g. when you select 2-3 lines of code and hit the TAB key, they
should be indented (or unindented if Shift+Tab), not replaced by a
tabulation like it's done at the moment (in 0.12 dev)

You can use CTRL + ] to indent and CTRL + [ to unindent (at least in redcar 0.11). However, I'm personally not quite happy with that key kombination, because I don't have the [ and ] keys on my German keyboard. To indent, I actually need to press CTRl + ALT GR + 9 and to unindent CTRL + ALT GR + 8, which is not nice for my fingers...

Yes, i know about the keybinding Ctrl+[, but i wonder why this is made this way?? In every editor for indention and un-indetion, Tab and Shift+Tab key is used (correct me if i'm wrong)..

- State changed from new to resolved
@Pockata: we follow textmate here. Tab is already quite a busy key.
@Quintus: you should be able to modify the keybinding for indentation now by going to Help/Keyboard Shortcuts.
