Opening a read only directory

When I try to open a read only directory I got nothing as a response from redcar , when I checked the terminal I saw that it raises an error as following :

probably this because it needs to write to the directory .. so either display a nice error message or disable the writing on this directory ..
I'm on ubuntu 10.10 with Redcar 0.11

Thanks for the report. Probably we will show an error message first, because there are quite a few things that assume the .redcar directory exists. But we should go through them all and make them work when it doesn't.
