Redcar stops taking input from the keyboard.
Reported by Aaron Aberg | September 17th, 2010 @ 09:12 PM
I can't reproduce this, sorry :( This has happened a few times. I will come back to redcar and start to type and nothing happens. I'll close the file and reopen it - nothing happens. I just figured out a work around though: If I close ALL the files I was working with, it fixes itself.

A similar problem happens with Eclipse in funky focus-switch situations (I have my WM with sloppy focus and dialog activation focus). I'm not sure we can fix this outside of SWT.

The best workaround I've found has been to switch focus to another app and then back again. The handful of times I've been hit by this it has been after unlocking from my screensaver (blank screen) on Ubuntu 10.10. I don't think I've run into this during regular usage. If you're running into this when switching back from another app, try switching to a few other apps and then back again to see if that fixes the issue.

I don't think we can fix this, this will happen to all SWT applications (happens to me in Eclipse and a couple of others, too)

Agreed. I was just throwing out a workaround that has been fairly reliable and didn't involve closing all open tabs.
