Redcar should --fork by default

Is there any reason for not detaching from the terminal by default? And not displaying any information whatsoever, even the version string. A lot of applications seem to work this way, and perhaps a --debug or --verbose option should appear to control glueing to the terminal and such.
Thoughts?

A nice workaround is to alias redcar (or rc in my case) to redcar --fork.
