Run syntax highlightinh in background thread

Tha highlighting is so slow that I have to wait for it when editing on my older pc (AMD 3600 or something) and it even gets very slow womtimes on my 3Ghz machine.
Highlighting should be done in background so that maximum responsivity of the editor is preserved.

This is a feature request, so I'm going to close it. It's also not something there is much prospect of happening any time soon, because it's a very difficult thing to do. Sorry. I do hope to improve the performance of the highlighter though. And it should be possible to make it more responsive without pushing it into the background.
