Can't start Redcar

Reported by Dandelionmood | February 27th, 2009 @ 01:47 PM | in 0.1

I can't start redcar : I followed the steps you published on github and they worked without a hitch, but ... When I try to start redcar itself, an error appears which seems to be freebase related - I don't know what freebase is, and I have no idea how to solve the problem ...

Here's what's happening :

pierre@pierre-laptop:~/Sources/redcar$ ./bin/redcar location: /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.0.6/libxpcom.so before 3 loaded bundle preferences in 0.007748s loaded snippet objects in 2.032321s made 405 Commands in 0.775246s undefined method []' for nil:NilClass /home/pierre/Sources/redcar/bin/../plugins/core/lib/core/bundles.rb:349:inbuild_bundle_menus' /home/pierre/Sources/redcar/bin/../plugins/core/lib/core/bundles.rb:342:in each' /home/pierre/Sources/redcar/bin/../plugins/core/lib/core/bundles.rb:342:inbuild_bundle_menus' /home/pierre/Sources/redcar/bin/../plugins/redcar/redcar.rb:61:in load' ./bin/../freebase2/lib/freebase/plugin.rb:211:inload' ./bin/../freebase2/lib/freebase/plugin.rb:273:in log_requires' ./bin/../freebase2/lib/freebase/plugin.rb:209:inload' ./bin/../freebase2/lib/freebase/configuration.rb:68:in load_plugins' ./bin/../freebase2/lib/freebase/core.rb:64:ininitialize' ./bin/../freebase2/lib/freebase/core.rb:35:in new' ./bin/../freebase2/lib/freebase/core.rb:35:instartup' ./bin/redcar:81:in startup' ./bin/redcar:124 [FB2] failed to load: redcar

Thanks for your help ;)

Ack, yes. I got this myself when I cleared my cache. Will fix now.

    • Tag changed from freebase, startup to bundle
    • State changed from “open” to “resolved”

Please pull down the latest from redcar-bundles, and from your Redcar directory clear your cache:

    rm -r cache/commands/ cache/preferences/ cache/info/ cache/snippets/

    Then try running again.

    Thanks for the report.

    best, Dan

That worked perfectly ... The integration of macros and Textmate bundles looks very promising :)
