Opening large directory can use up 100% cpu

I just launched redcar at ~/ by accident and noticed it started
using 100% cpu.
The UI was sluggish and I had to close it.
My guess is that it started indexing the directory.

Yep, that's what happened. Any suggestions on how we avoid this?

Maybe ask if we want to index that directory if its large. Then the setting could be stored in .redcar dir.
