cursor position moves around [Ubuntu x86_64]
Reported by Maurits Lamers | June 28th, 2012 @ 09:18 AM
When using Redcar under Ubuntu 64 bit, the cursor doesn't stay in the right place, but very often moves further to the left than actually needed. It seems to happen the most often with inserted characters (like auto-completion for brackets and parentheses).
The screenshot attached shows the problem: the cursor should be just before the M, but is actually in the middle of the T in front of the M. Sometimes the display cursor can jump up to 3 characters in front of the actual cursor position.
Could it perhaps be causes by using Monaco as font? Does the system perhaps think it is not a monospaced font?

Have you tried a different theme? I did that and it stopped doing that. Ubuntu 11.10, 12.04 and 12.10 here. 32 bit.
