  I keep bumping into undo history being way too shallow for me to work with.

  When I'm making changes to my source code, the undo history is so shallow I am not even able to undo changes to single method, which is just plain silly.

  Netbeans had max undo of 9999 or 99999. You could code for an hour or so and you could still get the code you started with back.

  Netbeans also had a history that would let you dig out whatever you needed that you didn't commit to VCS. Because some changes just don't make it into VCS, yet you may want to return to them at some point.

  This would even allow you to reanimate files you deleted, and that saved my ass a couple of times!

  Yes. The current undo length is 500 actions, which I have increased to 5000 in 0.11.0dev.

  I don't understand how 500 StyledText actions translates into so few undos, but there it is.

  Actually it's still mega short even with the undo length set to 5000... Obviously need to look into this a bit.

  Yeah, any update on this one. Undo is crazy short. In fact, Undo in general is a bit weird. Sometime you hit undo steps that you didn't even do (like jumping to the beginning of the line, etc).

  I love redcar, but I also can't wait until some of this core functionality is made rock solid. Syntax highlighting is also a big problem at the moment. It often freaks out and makes all (or part of) the text white (unhighlighted), ajnd it can sometimes slow everything right down.
