Word Search hangs and isn't doing anything

Steps to produce:
Open a project
Click the Project -> Word Search menu item (or Ctrl+Shift+F)
For the search term enter: <%= if
Click the "Find in Project" button.
Nothing happens. The spinner spins but it never stops.
Using rvm with ruby version:
ruby 1.9.2p180 (2011-02-18 revision 30909) [i686-linux]
