Would like to see this ticket opened again because it is still not behaving as one would expect.
Once text has been pasted, the selection should be removed and the cursor placed at the end of the pasted text. This way it is possible to copy a line, and paste it several times if need be. Right now the selection remains and additional pastes simply overrides the first paste.
